Phone a shelter directly to ask how many beds are free and how late you can arrive.
If a shelter does not have a bed, staff will guide you to other options. This may include other shelters not associated with BC Housing. For example, the Shelter and Street Help Line from bc211.

Women with children
The Emergency Shelter Map includes women only and family shelters. For women and their children fleeing violence, contact a transition house or safe home.
We add temporary shelters between November and April. This includes Extreme Weather Response shelters for dangerously wet and cold weather. In winter, BC Housing updates the map on weekdays as soon as we receive community extreme weather response notices. On weekends, staff updates the map once a day at 4 p.m.
